Cordial and Constructive Attitude

In our life we are confronted by so many issues that affect our way of thinking, our personal approach and attitude. All achievements, all earned riches, have their beginning in an idea. We have an idea, a vision and a mission regarding many things in our life. As an example, study is good, it is an idea, proceed with useful area of studies and engage in practical way to fulfill it.  Here we see an idea, a vision and a mission. This we can apply to so many things in our life. What is needed is a cordial and constructive attitude. To apply to my life, I have to accept that for myself I am the most important person today. I do not say about others, they have their idea, vision and mission about themselves. I do not compare it to anyone else.

My positive vision of myself gives me great strength and power. This is the core of my life. And in this vision I have to work out my life; that is my mission. When I think further I am the most responsible person as far as I am concerned. This I must accept basically. Hence I am the master of my life, and that enables me to be highly responsible in all my understanding, attitude and dealings. I am the master of my fate, if at all there is fate. Most positively fate for me is God’s overall plan and detailed design for me. This I accept as my fate. There is no fragment of superstition. This I keep in my thinking, visioning and missioning. Also I must dare to accept that I am totally responsible for all that are concerned about me. I have no one to blame for anything. In the whole process I must enjoy the joy of working. Joyful working is grace for me. This further makes my attitude which is my uniqueness. This is symbolized in my faith, courage, initiative, generosity, tolerance, tact, kindness, and good commonsense.

In this context I must aim for higher goals, and constantly striving to achieve the aim. The results should be total success, health, happiness, wealth, and everything positive. Further, I must love the people who are related in this process and collaborate with them; they are also like me. If I can develop a string of being related to them, it is excellent. Try for the so called “impossible” things. Henry Ford, the founder of Ford Car Industries in Detroit, USA, called his top engineers and asked them to make 8 cylinder-car-engine. After a few days, the team told Mr. Ford, that it was impossible. Ford would not accept; they had to work for moths following the insistence of Ford: “do it”. He did not give in. At last after hard struggles for months they made the 8-cylinder car engine a reality. Now it is known as “V-8”.

I must develop the courage to aim at still higher things that are yet to appear. Learn to convert failure in one day to success in the days ahead. Constantly I must evaluate my demeanor and discern my approaches, and rearrange if need be. Here the team-friends would be a great help. Henry Ford’s constant saying was “keep working”. Every adversity has the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit for those who have the courage to keep working. In my mental struggles at decision, and heavy schedule and approaches, it will be most wise and successful if I follow the dictum: Knowledge decides what to say, skill decides how to say, attitude decides how much to say, wisdom decides whether to say or not.
