The Fire of Rationality

In the thundering storm of ignorance and fear,
Rose a voice, fierce and clear-Periyar, the seer.
A flame against the darkness, a sword against the lie,
He challenged the shadows that veiled the sky.

His words, like lightning, tore through the night,
Shattering the chains of caste's blinding sight.
With reason as his armour, and truth as his guide,
He fought the tide of oppression with unyielding pride.

He stood on the battleground of the mind,
Unmasking the falsehoods that kept mankind confined.
A pioneer of rational thought, a rebel of the soul,
He sought to make every human whole.

In the temple of tradition, he threw open the gates,
Questioning the idols, breaking the fateful fates.
No longer bowed to the relics of the past,
He preached emancipation.

His voice-thunderous, relentless, bold-
Challenged the mighty, the wealthy, the old.
For equality's flame he fiercely fought,
A revolution in ideas, in every thought.

He saw the truth in every human face,
Beyond the shackles of caste and race.
A voice for the voiceless, a beacon of reason,
His words stirred a silent season.

With every speech, a revolution ignited,
In the hearts of the oppressed, hope rekindled, united.
No more silence, no more fear-
The dawn of justice drew ever nearer.

Periyar, the fire that purifies, the storm that clears,
Your legacy echoes through the years.
A clarion call for rationality, for dignity's birth,
You redefined the soul of the earth.

In the face of hatred, you stood tall,
A champion for all, breaking down the wall.
Your life, a testament to truth's pure light,
A beacon shining through the longest night.

So let us hear your call, fierce and profound,
To question, to challenge, to hold our ground.
For in your fire, the future's bright,
A world reborn in reason's light.
